Dr. Benjamin Villarán is a plastic surgery specialist board-certified by the Mexican Council of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and past president of the plastic and reconstructive society of western Mexico as well as past president and founding member of the college of plastic, esthetic and reconstructive surgeons of the state of Jalisco. He presently is head of the department of reconstructive, maxillofacial and burn surgery at the pediatric hospital for highly specialized care of the western Mexico national medical center of the Mexican Institute for Social Security in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
